I have proudly been a primary school teacher for 10 years working in two primary schools in Bradford.

Within those 10 years, I was promoted to assistant headteacher, pupil premium lead, Key Stage 1 and Vulnerable groups lead whilst also successfully leading geography, art and design technology.

I have worked across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 whilst also having a degree in Early Years Education.

I also have a strong passion for supporting and enabling every child that I have taught. I believe that every child can thrive, achieve and succeed when supported in a manner which is tailored to their needs.

My teaching style is allowing children to have ‘hands on experience’ (no printed out generic worksheets!) to allow children to become confident learners who are information seekers, problem solvers and resilient!

I created Learn with Katia, a private tutoring service, to support home-educated children as well as children who would benefit from tutoring to work alongside their mainstream education.
